Seminar on Zero Buget Farming in Jaipur on 24th - 26th June, 2008

A three day first of its kind a “Zero Budget Farming” seminar to be held in Jaipur at Kishan Bhawan, Lal Kothi, Jaipur (India) in June on 24th till 26th. More 1000 farmers are scheduled to participate from all regions of Rajasthan. Subhash Palekar known as “Krishi ka Rishi” who pioneered the concept and has been successful in saving the lives of thousands of farmers in Karnartaka and Maharashtra.

Natural farming needs no manure, fertilizers, pesticides and no vermicompost and requires hardly 10 per cent of water and electricity needed for normal farming, Palekar claims. The concept is simple, by which different inter-crops are sown along with the main crop, without any external outputs.

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar the founder of Art of Living urges agriculturalists to adopt natural farming to grow better long-lasting crops by using low cost, environment friendly and economical natural farming techniques. He has promised to provide training to farmers.
